Buying a ring GST freeIf you are about to go overseas, you can choose a ring from our web site, and have it sent to the duty free collection point at the airport where you can collect it as you leave the country. There is a small fee for this, but its very easy to arrange, and of course it saves you having to pay 15% GST here in NZ. How does GST Free workThe Collection Point at Auckland airport provide a service whereby retailers can send goods to the airport so they can be collected in the duty free zone by people when they fly overseas. If you are flying to somewhere such as Hong Kong where there isn't GST, you can simply take your purchase with you into that country in its box. When entering a country such as Australia a ring you are wearing is treated as a personal possession. There is no GST on personal possessions. Please note the prices on our web site are shown inclusive of GST. However on the checkout page, if you select an address other than New Zealand, the price will automatically change, removing the GST.  Where is the collection pointThe duty free collection point at Auckland Airport is on the first floor after security. Their phone number is +64 9 256 8845 The Collection Point is the pick-up point for duty and tax free goods purchased from participating shops throughout New Zealand which display the Auckland Airport duty and tax free logo.
